Bird, Bee, Beetle & Fish Bowls

Bird Bowl Bee Bowl Beetle Bowl Fish Bowl

Developed over a number of years from work originally produced as part of my M.A., these 37cm 'transfer' bowls come in bird, bee, beetle & fish designs and encorporate transfers taken from my own, hand-drawn and coloured illustrations.

Whilst the use of transfers on ceramics is fairly commonplace, their use on decorative glassware is much more unusual, the translucence of the glass bringing a different quality to the finished piece.  Each bowl takes around one week to make and requires three separate kiln-firings, with the transfers painstakingly applied by hand after the first.

Measurements: 37cm diameter x 7cm depth.

Matching coasters also available.
