Bee Garden Party, Marlborough House, London

I was delighted to be asked to donate one of my glass 'Bee Bowls' for a charity auction being held at the 'Bee Garden Party', an exciting event hosted by BBC Radio 4's Martha Kearney and staged by Royal Permission of Her Majesty The Queen.

Held in aid of Bees for Development, an amazing charity which helps people in the developing world create a sustainable living from beekeeping, the garden party will take place on Wed 1st July in one of Her Majesty's most beautiful and private palace gardens at Marlborough House on The Mall. With help from Kew Gardens, the venue will provide a stunning, bee-friendly location, featuring an observation hive and beekeeping demonstrations, with guests joined by VIPs, including a specially-appointed Royal Patron and HE Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth Secretary General. Music will be provided by the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra and Commonwealth Steel Band and guests can enjoy honeyed canapes and drinks, as well as bidding for bee-themed lots at the auction hosted by BBC Breakfast's Bill Turnbull.

I'm very proud to be supporting this worthwhile charity. Tickets for the event cost 75 and are available on a strictly limited basis from https://www.beegardenparty.org/
